Now available in a roll size that will easily fit into a car boot, Jutemaster ® Home Packs are quick and easy to install, and ideal for home gardens as an alternative to traditional mulches, particularly on steep sites where heavy rainfall and gravity conspire to wash your expensive mulch down the drain!

Jutemaster ® may also be used underneath decorative mulches to separate them from contact with the soil. This retards the breakdown of the mulch, thus extending it's life. It prevents volatile compounds from pine barks from inhibiting plant growth and reduces 'nitrogen lockup' where soil nitrogen is diverted to breaking down mulch, making it unavailable to your valuable plants.

Jute matting has long been a favourite of canny organic gardeners, who for many years have used recycled (felt) carpet underlay to retain moisture in seedbeds and compost heaps. It is an excellent mulch material for vegetable gardens because unlike traditional mulches such as hay or straw, it contains no weed seeds and does not harbour pests such as snails and slugs.
