Omeo Fire Rehabilitation
The Australian summer of 2002-03 saw bushfires burn the greatest expanse of land (1.3 million hectares) since the 1939 fires leaving large areas exposed to erosion. One area badly affected by erosion was the Livingston Creek site at Omeo. The restoration project for this site was sponsored by Landcare Australia and Bundeburg Rum as part of the Bush Fund for water quality improvement works.
